I just got hired on Monday as a video editor for the UT Dallas School of Management, and immediately I was given the assignment of creating a new animated gif for their website. My new boss loved it and sent this to the rest of the department this morning. I don't know when they're going to put this on the site but all I know is that if he loved this first assignment, then this is a really good sign for me.
Things are finally looking up for me and my brand of art. :3
Oooh, what software did you use to make the animation? Video editor? I didn't even realize they were offering that position on campus. How'd you come across this?
i used after effects ^^. the reason why you didn't hear about it was because i responded to the offer on CareerWorks only 24 hours after my now supervisor posted the job, so even though some 100 people emailed about it, only me and one or two others got interviewed. i was reeeeeeeeeeeally lucky because i wouldn't have known about it if an email from a CareerWorks employee didn't wake me up to go get it XP lol.
Oooh, I see. I really need to fix my CareerWorks profile. Haven't touched it for like 2 years. I can't log into it 'cuz I forgot the password. I'm gearing towards focusing maybe more on film and cinematography, so it grabbed my attention that you had to do make a video/animation for this.
lol Yeah, for the longest time I had alienated myself from profile too. So little happens on there it's easy to forget it even exists at all XP. That's awesome that you're going towards film! I used to really focus on 3D animation, but I think my niche is more in the realm of editing, specifically 3D lighting and motion graphics. Btw, you look very familiar to me, by any chance are you in virtual environments with Phil Johnson?
FTW baby! ^^ and lol oh ok i thought i saw you in there it must of been someone else XP. i saw your youtube channel btw i thought the trailer to your movie was pretty cool!
